Champion High-Impact Sports Bra Review: The Workhorse That Earns Its Name

Champion has been making sports bras since before most of the brands on this list existed, and it shows in the details. Their high-impact bra is a compression style — meaning it flattens and holds rather than encapsulating each breast in its own cup — and compression is the right tool for the job when the job is running. There's a reason so many high-impact bras for runners are compression bras, and Champion's version is a benchmark in the category.

I put it through runs, a HIIT class, and a couple of jump-heavy workouts, and the bounce control is real. It holds everything firmly in place without the suffocating, can't-breathe feeling some high-impact bras bring. The wide straps and a racerback design keep the load distributed, and there's enough coverage that you don't spend the workout adjusting. For a bra this supportive, it's surprisingly comfortable.
